Why are you making a website from scratch?

I've been on the web for almost a decade, "starting" my first social media account around 2016. Since then, I've had multiple socials. The one that I've had the longest is my Instagram account, which I finally "retired" in June 2024. I still use it but I no longer post my art after AI was introduced and Instagram flipped the bird on artists on that platform who couldn't get access to Glaze and Nightshade. It was the final straw for me.

TLDR: I've grown tired of having a lack of customization options, being limited by paywalls or the platform in general, and said places fucking me over as an artist. :33

Since last year, I've been meaning to leave IG and I was looking for a place to keep my stuff. I am no longer the 11-year-old girl who kept to herself on the Internet. I am a 19-year-old uni student (art major) who is working towards being either a character design or concept artist. I need to work towards a portfolio, so making my own site will benefit me in the long run.

The niche of making your own site is super interesting to me. I would love to be a part of something that allows me to go crazy. Something that allows me to do what I want! I can make this site my chaotic internet corner.

Will this site ever be mobile friendly?

No, and it never will be. My aim is for a PC functional site, not a crossplatform friendly site. I have issues with being online a lot so I don't need to create something that makes it worse.
